Kathak Dancer Maumala Nayak in Chittorgarh from 20-24 August,2012.She will give Workshop Demonstration in Government Schools.

An excellent blend of sensuous movement and graceful footwork with absolute control on Laya – That describes the performance of Moumala Nayak, an accomplished artiste of the Lucknow gharana of Kathak, and disciple of great Kathak Maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj. Daughter of Retired Principal Chief Engineer (DOT, BSNL Ministry of Communication) and belonging to amateur Magician parents, Moumala started learning Kathak in 1982 at the age of nine years from Shri Nagendra Prasad Mohini in Patna and acquired her M.A. in the same from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. She got her specialized advance training in Delhi under Smt. Vaswati Mishra and later under Kathak legend Pt. Birju Maharaj Completed Diploma Honours from National Institute of Kathak Dance, New Delhi.
